Curator Point Urbain demands one million euros from Sihame El Kaouakibi and business partner Erika Nguyen

If the judge agrees to the bankruptcy trustee’s demand, the consequences for El Kaouakibi and her business partner will be far-reaching and they will have to cough up a million euros personally.

Point Urbain put the books down in February this year, after the landlord of the stately JJ House – an Antwerp family that has owned the building for two centuries – sued Point Urbain for an increasing rent arrears. At the same time, the family also asks to break the lease.
