Curator Britney Spears asks security: “I am being threatened with death” | Celebrities

CelebritiesSince the much-discussed testimony of Britney Spears (39) her curator Jodi Montgomery has been threatened. According to her lawyer, those threats are so serious that Montgomery must be protected.

“Following the June 23 hearing, which was illegally broadcast to a massive audience, the number and severity of threats has increased dramatically,” Montgomery said in court documents in possession of Fox News. “Many of the posts on social media and in the form of texts, phone calls and emails threaten violence and even death.”

Bodyguard

The curator wants security in her home and office to be increased until she gets a bodyguard. The costs would have to be borne by Britney, which means that Montgomery needs permission from the singer’s father, Jamie Spears. He also manages Britney’s finances. Montgomery only supervises the singer’s personal life.

On Tuesday, Montgomery announced that Britney has asked her to remain as a trustee. In the court documents about security, she shares evidence of this in the form of text messages from the singer.

Disappointed

Earlier this week it was announced that manager Larry Rudolph has submitted his resignation. The manager cited the reason that he has had no contact with Britney Spears for more than two years and that she has made it clear that she actually wants to retire. Lawyer Sam Ingham, who was appointed by the court, has also filed a request to be removed from his position. According to various sources, the singer’s statements from a few weeks ago did him no good. In her emotional testimony at her recent hearing, Spears said she was disappointed in her lawyer. In her own words, she was not aware for a long period of time that she herself could request that her father’s administration be terminated. In a later phase, the pop singer also regularly asked Ingham to take the necessary steps, but he never did.

There will be a new hearing on the administration on 14 July.
