The curfew in Curaçao is being brought forward. Instead of 11 p.m., everyone should be in by 9 p.m. Catering and other businesses have to close at 20:00. Curfew lasts until 4:30 am.
For adults, it is now mandatory to wear a face mask in the supermarket, the minimarket and the toko. Just like in a warehouse, bakery, pharmacy, hospital and clinics. The obligation to wear also applies to hardware stores, public transport, hairdressers and funerals.
No additional measures have yet been announced for education. The beach is still allowed with four people.
Prime Minister Rhuggenaath understands these are drastic measures, but he says there is no other choice with the greatly increased number of cases and the pressure on care in the hospital.
Saturday
On Saturday, a large number of people were tested positive for the fifth day in a row. 46 in total. 25 of them are traceable to existing infections, of 21 there is no link.
The number of patients in the hospital remains at eight. One patient has been discharged, one has been added. Three of them are in intensive care.
