We have seen the Cupra designation on Seat sports cars for many years, but in 2018 the brand became independent, which now focuses mainly on sports cars. The top model with an internal combustion engine remains the VZ5 crossover, which has now received two special editions.
These are both a celebration of the VZ5 model itself (VZ refers to the Spanish term for Veloce, while the number 5 indicates the number of cylinders) and a celebration of the brand’s independence. Each limited edition will be produced in the number of 222 pieces as a reminder of 22/02/2018, when the brand separated from Seat.
The main distinguishing feature of the new models is the special body color. The Century Bronze bronze-tinged version gets bronze-tinted carbon mirror caps, bronze tailpipes and 20″ wheels, standard bronze, optional black.

The Cupra badging is done in dark chrome and the cabin will offer Cupra bucket seats with an integrated headrest in black with black stitching. The black-coated dashboard is decorated with bronze-colored thread stitching. On the door we can see the car number within the edition and its designation.
The Enceladus Gray edition bets on darker colors. The Cupra logo and decor in the cabin are finished in dark chrome, the mirrors got black carbon covers, the exhaust tips are black and the wheel arches are filled with 20″ wheels in black as standard, but bronze wheels are also available. The cabin is again black and there is a car number and edition marking on the door.
Under the hood of both cars is the iconic 2.5-liter in-line five-cylinder offering a maximum output of 287 kW (390 hp) and 480 Nm of torque. The engine is connected to a DSG transmission and the power goes to all wheels.
