Only one episode of Cupid or something, but apparently it was enough to convince the Dutch to make a local version of the dating show with a corner.

Tonight we follow the West Flemish Hanne (22), who crashed into an electricity pole ten years ago with a quad. Despite intensive rehabilitation, she remains partially paralyzed on her left side and slows down thinking and talking. “Before my accident I was very independent. I don’t think about my accident that much anymore because it hurts me somewhere to think about how it used to be different, ”she says. Hanne wants someone who is taller, can chat well and is mentally on the same level. “And preferably a walker, because I find it difficult to kiss someone who is in a wheelchair.”
Maybe Karen Damen and Ruth Beeckmans can link her to Sven (26) from Buggenhout. He also has a non-congenital brain injury since he suffered a brain haemorrhage during surgery. Sven is mobile, he even drives the car. “The last time I had a girlfriend dates from before my brain injury and that was eight years ago.”
In this episode we also see how Julia and Maxime fare. Both have a mild form of autism, so making contact is a difficult task for both. The first episode of Cupid or something was enough to convince the Dutch to make a local version. The program will also be shown on SBS in the course of 2021. The TV channel will collaborate with the Dutch Autism Association. A presentation duo has not yet been announced.
