Cundinamarca opens 32 free courses in Microsoft data science

The Secretariat of Information Technologies and ICT Communications reiterates the invitation to engineers, scientists, data analysts and developers of the department to participate in the free training courses in data science and services of the Data Sandbox, offered by the Microsoft platform .

“This is an opportunity that benefits the ICT sector of the public entities of Cundinamarca, since it allows public servants to appropriate the capacities to learn about technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Together, the Ministry of ICT and us from the Digital Government, made progress in promoting training for our teams on this important and necessary subject, ”said the Director of Digital Government, Andrés Roldán.

In addition, five courses and learning paths are available for data analysts, including topics such as optimizing query performance in SQL Server, automating tasks with SQL, planning and implementing a high availability environment, and disaster recovery.

Regarding the Disruptive Technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, those interested will find:

Artificial intelligence: automates machine learning and allows repetitive tasks to be performed, through data storage.

Augmented reality: By combining reality with digital, it allows interaction in the real world with virtual elements.

Blockchain: allows data to be recorded in an unalterable way, in a decentralized system.

Big data and data analytics: set of data stored in large quantities to be analyzed later.

Machine Learning: create systems that learn tasks automatically.

Robotics: creates artifacts that are capable of performing physical tasks.

Finally, Cundinamarcans can access 67 courses and learning paths for developers, which include Azure basics, such as: evolution of DevOps practices, introduction to version control with Git and use of NoSQL data.

Through goal 432 of its development plan ‘Cundinamarca, region that progresses’, the department intends to provide assistance to the 116 municipalities in the implementation of the Digital Government Policy.
