Mouila (south), July 3 (AGP) – 20 prizes and diplomas were awarded to the winners of the various musical events, on the occasion of World Music Day, celebrated on the night of Friday to Saturday in place of festivals of Mouila, capital of the province of Ngounié.
The city of Mouila vibrated, this weekend, to the rhythm of the music festival which took place in the esplanade of the place des fêtes, where several molvillois were at the rendezvous.
After the opening speech by Van Mabadi, Head of Performing Arts at the Provincial Directorate of Culture and the Arts, host of the evening, the artists followed one another on stage, performed for the occasion. They competed in talent, to the delight of music lovers who vibrated to different rhythms, hip hop, traditional, traditional-modern, etc.
At the end of the various passages, while taking into account the choice of the public, the list of winners was delivered. The award and diploma for best disc jockey (DJ) was awarded to DJ Cartel. For the dance category, Yagrame Crew won the prize and the diploma for the best modern dance group, while the prize for the best traditional dance group was awarded to the Biabola group, from the Ingwala initiation rite.
For budding artists, the award for the best house singer went to the teenager Anaëlle Bibalou, while that of the best star imitation was given to the young Junior Nzingou.
The prices for this 41st edition of World Music Day ranged from 15,000 FCFA to 25,000 FCFA.
The provincial director of Culture, Biyogo Bekale, said he was satisfied with this evening and warmly thanked the Molvilois for the success of this edition.
World Music Day, which is usually celebrated every June 21 of the year, was celebrated on June 30 in Gabon. It was a question for the officials of the Ministry of Culture to take into account the end of the school exams, in particular that of the baccalaureate.
