After some events had to be canceled or postponed, culture in the countryside should soon gain momentum again. Two dates have already been set.
Ziethen
The restrictions of the past two years have also left their mark on Kunstraum Ziethen. On the one hand, planned events had to be canceled or postponed. On the other hand, Kunstraum initiator Engelbert Weinhold was unable to pursue his job as a teacher for “German as a second language”, with which he financed quite a few of the cultural activities. Even the donkey hikes, which had started so promisingly, could no longer take place.
Bring Spain to Ziethen
Now, however, the busy art lover is hopeful that things can get going again soon. At least some things are planned. For example, the “Spain in Ziethen” matinee, which was canceled due to the pandemic, is to be rescheduled on May 14. With flamenco guitar, Spanish poetry and prose, as well as a tapas buffet and last but not least with a Spanish film classic in the evening, Spanish culture is to be brought into the village as part of the series “The World as a Guest in Ziethen”.
The German-French Day originally planned for January 22nd is to be made up for on June 18th. “The matinée will take place as an exclusive special event as part of the Fête de la Musique, which is also planned for that day,” announces Engelbert Weinhold. Anyone who wants to make music can do so in the Ziethener Park and in the garden of the Kunstraum. The program will open with a vernissage of camera obscura photos by the Hamburg photo artist Tim Rädisch.
Russia will probably be a guest in Ziethen in autumn, as well as Jewish culture. And then it would of course be nice if the end of the pandemic could also be celebrated on one of these occasions, Engelbert Weinhold wishes.
