CULTURE: Theater Dijon Bourgogne program in January

The National Drama Center of Dijon presents the shows on the bill.

Design and production Noémie Goudal and Maëlle Poésy

Inspired by research in paleoclimatology on the extreme metamorphoses of terrestrial landscapes, Maëlle Poésy and Noémie Goudal make us live a dense immersive plastic experience; they make us experience the impermanence of man and of time in an environment immersed in organic and electronic sounds and animated by a suspended choreography.

Impromptu / Meeting with Xavier Boës

Xavier Boës is a researcher in the Joint Research Unit “Natural history of prehistoric man” at the Museum of Natural History in Paris.

Over the past two decades, his work has focused on the evolution of lake basins in response to ancient climate change. He defended a thesis in paleoclimatology at the University of Liège in 2005; his research work then turned to the study of paleoclimates in extreme regions (Siberia and Patagonia). He then went on to research the polar region at Umea University in Sweden. In 2010 he directed his research in the Lake Turkana basin which yields some of the most important fossils of our human lineage. In 2011 he was one of the discoverers who, in the desert area west of Lake Turkana, brought to light the oldest currently known archaeological site. Permanent member of the Prehistoric Mission in Kenya, he has been working for more than 10 years in this region of East Africa which provides rare evidence of the first forms of material cultures and human thought in a climate context totally different from the current one.

after party ANIMA à la Vapeur / Chloé dj set, Calling Marian live + warm up

Echoing the performance series of Anima, La Vapeur & le TDB invite Chloé Thévenin, who composed the music for the creation, to present her musical project in Dijon.

Chloe Thevenin

Chloé is an icon of French electronic music, a complete artist with a stunning aesthetic. We discovered her on the Parisian club scene in the late 1990s, followed by the release of several albums, the creation of a label, regular work with film, performing arts and radio. For almost thirty years she has been using her own turntables and electrifying dance floors around the world.

Her hypnotic universe and her science of clubbing make her a safe bet on the techno and electronic scene.

Call Mariano

Calling Marian is a one of a kind producer. Trained in musicology, she draws inspiration from multiple artistic horizons to create strong, sincere and emotional music, at the intersection of techno, acid and trance. His goal is to create a strong synergy between techno and club rhythms, nostalgic harmonies and catchy melodies.

The Munstrum Théâtre invents a daring Kafkaesque fairy tale, a ferocious dystopia that denounces the excesses of our society and offers us a dive into ourselves. A polymorphic show in total creative freedom where the body, the pictorial emotion and the organic language are hybridised.

The Passes-Murailles

Entrusted each season to an artist associated with the TDB and performed by young actors with professionalization contracts, the Passe-Murailles are theatrical creations designed to be performed in classrooms or in non-traditional theatrical venues. The Passe-Murailles are a device that allows the regional decentralization project to continue in the school environment and to spread more widely across the territory.

This season, Tamara Al Saadi, associate director, is in charge.
