Culture Minister Parisa Liljestrand hands out awards at the ELLE gala

Today, April 19, Minister of Culture Parisa Liljestrand attends the ELLE gala to give a speech and award the Year’s Honorary Award.

– For several years, Sweden has been successful in cultural and creative industries with international successes and strong brands in fashion, form and design. Fashion is therefore to be regarded as an important industry that ranges widely in styles, trends and production. In order to highlight the importance of the sector, on 9 April the government submitted a strategy for the cultural and creative industries to the Riksdag with the aim of contributing to unlocking the creative companies’ potential for growth, employment and innovation. That’s why it feels very nice to be able to participate tonight in celebrating the country’s top creators and handing out prizes at the ELLE gala, which is Sweden’s biggest fashion event, says Minister of Culture Parisa Liljestrand.
