Two routes and a commented walk
Traditionally, the event is organized on the last weekend of September, so it’s on the 26th and 27th that walkers can get to the start of this march, at the Wieselstein space in Freyming-Merlebach. No change in the routes, with two proposed distances, 6.5 and 10 km, towards the Barrois quarry, to reach the belvedere, at the edge of the Warndt forest, and enjoy the enchanting landscapes and its canyon. Refueling is offered at the entrance to the quarry. Registrations (€ 2) are taken on site from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., the last deadline for departures. Small novelty this year, “the participation of the tourist office which will offer a guided tour of the quarry”. In this case, the registration will be 5 €. Wearing a mask will be compulsory. Covid obliges, no big meal planned at the end of the walk
