Children and young people can look forward to an extra-long summer of culture this year. The “Junge KUSS” starts on June 3rd and runs until October 1st. This time, too, there will be a wide range of events with theatre, music, cabaret and lots of opportunities to get involved.
“Young audiences can experience art and culture up close on the stages and try things out for themselves. That’s the exciting thing about ‘Junge KUSS’”, emphasizes District Administrator Oliver Quilling. “The children and young people can slip into special roles, get to know new perspectives and playfully immerse themselves in a new world.” There is the opportunity to learn more about the music and attitude towards life of the great musician Johann Sebastian Bach. The “Children-with-mach-Theater Tikato” comes to schools and enables everyone to experience dance, games and music during a concert. The trio tells a story about the tones and how to dance them. The ballerina Karina also enchants the children with classical dances and practices their own dances with them.
The Kolibri puppet theater is a mobile theater with productions for children between the ages of three and ten. In the theater workshop “Theatre makes you strong!” with the theater director and culture award winner Tanja Garlt, it is also possible to gain your first stage experience. The magician Matzelli enchants his young guests and invites them to hours of entertainment. The children’s book author and illustrator Robert Scheffner, on the other hand, talks about the impulses and motivation behind writing and illustrating children’s books during his reading.
