“Cultural Rape”. Sallusti rails against surrogacy

“Do the rights for the Lgtbqi+ communities take away the rights of the average Italian?”. The question was addressed to Alessandro Sallusti, director of Libero, during the March 24 episode of Otto e mezzo, the La7 talk show hosted by Lilli Gruber. The journalist replies on the subject as follows: “No, they don’t take away the rights of the average Italian. I say that it is the political and therefore media agenda that is overturned. It deals with 90% of legitimate, serious and important problems, but which concern a small minority of Italians, very small. It’s not that they don’t have the right to be heard and in fact they are listened to a great deal. Instead, the problems of the vast majority of Italians take a back seat. The problem for the majority of Italians is not that their children are or are not registered in the registry office in a certain way, it’s that they can’t find kindergartens to send them to. That is a problem that concerns the majority of Italians and the majority of families, yet it is as if they do not have citizenship rights, neither in the media nor in politics”.

Then the discussion moves on to surrogacy: “I too am perplexed by the comparison between rape and children born like this, but be careful, even having a woman have a baby on commission is rape, it won’t be physical, but it is cultural rape ”.
