Reina Dzudzilo’s first gallery solo exhibition
In the gallery “Alma” (Tērbatas iela 64, Riga) Reinas Dzudzilo’s first solo exhibition of the gallery “Never Ends” will be on display until March 11. In March, it will be followed by the personal exhibition of Krista Dzudzilo (both in the picture).
Both exhibitions are expected to be the first solo exhibitions of the artists, who until now have worked in tandem on audiovisual performances, chamber operas, movement and visual art shows, gaining international recognition with a balanced, pathetic visual language.
The pair of artists has changed the appearance of Latvian theater in a historical context with the creation of more than 30 visual dramaturgies and scenographies.
The “Alma” gallery has been cooperating with Reina Dzudzilo since 2020, when the “Dzudzilo & Dzudzilo” exhibition “Almamater” was on display at the gallery. At the end of 2022, “Alma” participated in the “NADA Miami” art fair in Miami, Florida, USA with the work “You made me glass” by Krista and Reiņš Dzudzilo, which consists of three mirror objects. The work was specially created for the exhibition “Alma Gallery @ Padures manor” in 2021.
