Santo Domingo, RD.-The Community Technology Centers (CTC) and the International Youth Fellowship (IYF) signed an inter-institutional collaboration agreement for the formation and execution of projects that will contribute to the cultural and technological development of the youths from the Dominican Republic.
The agreement, signed between the director of the CTC, Isidro Torres, and the director of the International Youth Fraternity in Central America and the Caribbean, Jin Sung Kim, has as its fundamental objective to combine efforts to bring both institutions closer, through joint actions , for the benefit of the communities in which they have a presence nationwide.
Among the points of the agreement is coordinating multicultural and musical activities with the Community Technological Centers, such as dance presentations, cultural festivals, musical presentations and conferences for the development of the intellect.
During the signing, held in the conference room of the Community Technology Centers, director Isidro Torres thanked the Korean organization for the initiative of collaborating with Dominican youth.
He argued that this agreement will help develop joint efforts in the most vulnerable communities in the country and thus promote, through various prevention and rehabilitation programs, healthy comprehensive development among adolescents, through cultural, sports and scientific activities.
While Jin Sung Kim, stated that: “we are highly grateful for this agreement. This mutual support firm, so that the youth of the country, through the Dominican Government, are benefited in various aspects”.
He added that they feel satisfied with the support provided by the CTC, during the youth cultural camp that they developed in Santo Domingo.
Both institutions committed to carrying out and coordinating various training programs with the support of CTC, such as English camp, Korean camp, world culture camp, music camp, educational workshops, among others.
According to what they said, both institutions promised to guarantee the participation of students in the activities that the International Youth Fraternity carries out, as well as to facilitate spaces for carrying out the activities listed in this indicator.
Likewise, the agreement establishes to encourage the participation of students and representatives of the different programs carried out by the Community Technology Centers in the events that the International Fraternity of Youths takes place throughout the year in various countries, such as the World Cultural Camp.
The Community Technological Centers will also support with workshops and didactic material for the execution of the Conference for the Development of Intellect, and with the dissemination of information of interest through the Radio CTC Community Broadcasting Network.
The agreement between the CTC and the IYF will take effect from the date of its signing and will remain in force for a period of two (2) years, renewable subject to the mutual agreement of the parties, for a period of equal duration.
