I wish you the best! In October, video game players will celebrate several anniversaries and with that always comes a whole range of gifts, memorial streams, remakes and limited hardware.
The legend of the Czech gaming scene, the game Mafia, is also celebrating its 20th anniversary since its release. An artbook will be released in October, a book dedicated to the creation of the entire series. It brings a lot of stories from the development, to the covers, to the appearance of characters, places and cars. The Art of Mafia Trilogy book is out on October 14 and will offer 230 pages in Czech. What other cult games are celebrating anniversaries this year and what do they offer?
I look forward to a journey into Steven Spielberg’s youth, a drama about the start of #MeToo and the second premiere of Avatar: The Movie, which we will see later this year.

Fallout: 25 let
It was 1997 when we emerged from Vault 13 in the inhospitable, dangerous and torn wasteland of the United States. It is the year 2161, and although humanity progressed technologically very rapidly after World War II, it has retained the aesthetics of the 1950s.
But nuclear war stopped this development and people survived in anti-nuclear shelters or vaults. In the wasteland, the remnants of humanity (and your character) are fighting each other for survival, looking for parts, relatives, supplies, and joining factions. Fallout was also famous for its quirky sense of humor, and a quarter of a century later it’s one of the best-selling PC games that defined the RPG genre. It has had successful sequels, spin-offs and a TV series on the way.
To celebrate, players received a special website fallout25th.com, where they can exercise their knowledge of the series in a special quiz. Until October 10, you can play the latest installment in the Fallout 76 series for free (including the latest The Pitt DLC). If you’re using an Xbox Series X or S console, you can download an exclusive dynamic game theme for free. Fallout Shelter mobile (and console) players are receiving new content in the form of a series of missions. But the release date has yet to be announced.
Forza Horizon: 10 let
On Xbox consoles, you can currently play Forza Horizon 5, which takes place in Mexico. Set in a fictional festival, arcade races offer street racing, off-road action, as well as joking around on ski jumps or looking for veterans in barns. In past editions we have looked at Colorado, France and Italy, Australia and Great Britain. Offers a wide range of licensed cars, the latest cars and classic parts. Loud radios that roar from the speakers and guide you forward deliver dance, hip hop and classical music. You will know some of the hits of the last two games of the Expres FM broadcast, so calmly we will recommend the official soundtracks of the game and for occasional listening. Be careful on the road, as you will get stuck with a heavy foot on the accelerator.
Forza Horizon 5 will celebrate with a birthday update, a special playlist and discounts.
Dishonored: 10 let
The first part of the Dishonored series was released on October 9, 2012. The developers at Arkane Studios offered us a great story full of political intrigue and interesting characters, a breathtaking new world, fantastic gameplay and multiple endings. The award-winning game is proud of, for example, the BAFTA award, which was also helped by the voices of famous names, Susan Sarandon, Michael Madsen, Lena Headey or Carrie Fisher. The game saw two sequels, Dishonored 2 and Dishonored: Death of the Outsider. The third game was originally supposed to be just an expansion of the second game, but was ultimately released independently.
Special live streams and discounts will delight all fans of this fantastic series. Arkane Studios is now working on its latest game, Deathloop, which recently arrived on the Xbox console after the PlayStation console.
Age of Empires: 25 let
The legendary strategy has set the trends for this genre since 1997. Many other games are inspired in particular by the first two parts. Whether you like to build wonders of the world or crush your enemies to the last man, this game will also teach you history in special campaigns inspired by real events and important historical characters and battles.
Symbolically, on October 25th, we can await the annual update with two new civilizations: the Malians and the Ottoman Turks. New maps and other content are proof that the reign of Age of Empires is by no means coming to an end.
