The author Nicole Richter will present her book “Friuli-Venezia Giulia with Taste” in the Cafino.
WOLFSBERG. At the upcoming 10th anniversary of the “Cafino” in Wolfsberg, the Alps-Adriatic specialist Nicole Richter will be a guest and read from her first book “Friuli-Venezia Giulia with taste”. Born in Burgenland, she grew up in Wolfsberg and has been dealing with the language and cuisine of Italy for decades. “Because of the geographical proximity to Carinthia, I traveled a lot in Friuli and can now call it my second home,” says Richter. The Carinthian spends every weekend in the Italian region.
Culinary insider tips
“In my culinary travel guide I tell you about interesting winegrowers, chocolate makers, butchers working according to old crafts and many other producers from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. The stories of pleasure are longer reports about regional food producers who work sustainably, organically and who care deeply about animal welfare,” says the qualified translator. The book also contains local recommendations with down-to-earth restaurants such as osterias and trattorias, as well as tips on bars and places to shop. “The book was written by me with a lot of love. I give insider tips – with culinary highlights that mostly only locals know about,” says the author, who has also been running her own pleasure blog under the name “Evviva!” since 2002.
In every bookstore
“Friuli-Venezia Giulia with Taste” has around 200 pages of culinary tips from the Italian region, embellished with pictures that Richter took herself on her trip. The book from Styria Verlag is available in every bookstore and online for 28 euros. Anyone who would like to receive a signed version can order it at www.nicolerichter.eu.
Lecture in the cafe
“I’m particularly looking forward to the lecture in the Cafino, because I have a very strong connection to the city through my childhood and my parents, who still live in Wolfsberg. Above all, I’m also familiar with the House of the Region and the very close to the Cafino team,” says the author. The Friulian evening at the “Cafino” Wolfsberg will take place on Thursday, April 20th, from 7 p.m. In addition to the book presentation by Richter, at which the author will be happy to answer any questions, there will be Friulian specialties such as prosciutto, cheese and wine from the Ferrin winery in Camino al Tagliamento. The book table in the Libellus bookshop also invites you to browse. Furthermore, the coffee in the Cafino for the anniversary celebrations from April 20th to 22nd is available for just one euro.
