“Cuiabá Fires Coach Ivo Vieira After 4-0 Loss to Atlético-MG in Brazilian Championship”

Cuiabá announced the dismissal of coach Ivo Vieira after the 4-0 loss at Arena Pantanal to Atlético-MG no Brazilian championshipthis Wednesday.

Ivo Vieira arrived at Cuiabá at the beginning of this season and accumulated 16 wins, 3 draws and 5 defeats in charge of the club.

The Portuguese was champion of Mato Grosso, but fell in the semifinal of the Copa Verde and lost 3 of 5 games in the Brasileirão, leaving the team in the relegation zone with 4 points.

“Cuiabá Esporte Clube communicates that Ivo Vieira is no longer the team’s coach. Along with him, assistants Pedro Andrade and Honorato José also leave the club”, posted the club on its social networks.

The team returns to the field on Saturday, at Maracanã, against Fluminense for the Brasileirão.
