At eight o’clock ‘Cuéntamelo en Almería’ began, the storytelling route for the month of August, created by Consultora Contraportada for the Department of Tourism, Communications and Promotion of the City of the Almería City Council. And, of course, like any story, with a moral: conflicts are resolved by talking and with good coexistence among all. After the story, which was greatly applauded, the boys and girls participated in various traditional games, such as the balloon or ‘one, two, three, English chocolate’.
The Councilor for Tourism, Communications and Promotion of the City, Joaquín Pérez de la Blanca, explained, in the presentation of the initiative promoted by the Almería Tourist Municipal Company (EMAT), that “this storytelling route is carried out in magical spaces of our city and has characters closely linked to Almería and its history. From the Almería City Council we can only support these types of initiatives that are of cultural and historical value for the little ones in our house and that, in addition, will energize the main squares of the capital during this August.

After starting in the Plaza Marqués de Heredia, the ‘Cuéntamelo en Almería’ route will continue on Wednesday, August 9, at 8 pm, with the presence of a fisherman in the Plaza de la Iglesia in Cabo de Gata, who will narrate the relationship of the city with the sea. On Friday, August 11, the Plaza del Mar in El Toyo will host this storyteller that will feature an athlete from the 2005 Mediterranean Games. On Wednesday the 16th, the Almería promenade will witness the stories of Guillermo Langle while on August 29 will be a lifeguard who narrates the story in Costacabana.
