However, not everyone knows that it exists a completely homemade and light variant classic uramaki full of calories and ingredients that are anything but dietary. In fact, to prepare light sushi we will simply have to go and buy some cucumbers, rice, an avocado and some salmon. In the blink of an eye, we will have created an exquisite cucumber sushi.

This light version of traditional sushi will please everyone and even those on a diet will be able to enjoy a few rolls without feeling guilty. In fact, it is an alternative light, greet, low-calorie e nutritious to the uramaki we all know. The flavor of cucumber sushi will be even better than that of traditional sushi. Seeing is believing!

Therefore, to prepare cucumber sushi we will need them few ingredients and the procedure to follow is easy and fast. These cucumber rolls will be ideal to serve for dinner or during an aperitif with friends, perhaps dipping each roll into a bowl of soy sauce. What a delicacy!

Cucumber sushi: ingredients for 6 rolls

  • 1 or 2 cucumbers;
  • 100 grams of light spreadable cheese;
  • 75 grams of smoked salmon;
  • 30 grams of sushi rice;
  • 1/2 avocado;
  • soy sauce to taste

Procedure

First of all, let’s cook the sushi rice. In the meantime, take the cucumbers, wash them and clean them. Next, cut them into thin slices lengthwise and place them on a baking tray. Then, remove the excess water from the cucumbers with a little paper towel. Next, we spread some transparent film on a rectangular baking tray.

At this point, we place the various cucumber slices on the baking tray next to each other and let’s start layering our sushi. So, let’s get started spreading light cream cheese on the cucumbers. After that, we also spread the salmon slices on one side of the pan and cut an avocado into slices. We therefore also have avocado on the same side.

In this regard, when the rice is ready, let’s put some on the usual side in which the other ingredients have been placed and we roll up the sushi (on the ingredient side), using the transparent film. As a final result we will have a sort of “giant candy” covered in film. Finally, let’s remove this last one, cut the rolls into sliceswe pour a little soy sauce into a tray and… chopsticks in hand. Cucumber sushi will be ready!
