Cuban vaccine arrives in Sierra Tarahumara; there are more than 100 doses available – El Heraldo de Chihuahua

The Cuban vaccine arrives in the Sierra Tarahumara: the distribution of the Abdala vaccine advances in the 67 municipalities of Chihuahua; there will be 118 thousand 900 doses available for reinforcement against Covid-19, preferably for the elderly; anyone of legal age can request it; the organic will be applied in 238 health centers and hospitals of the IMSS, ISSSTE and the Ministry of Health.

The campaign for the implementation of the Abdala vaccine in the state of Chihuahua is progressing so that it is available in the 67 municipalities of the entity, informed the state coordinator of vaccination of the Ministry of Welfare, Hugo Elí Lechuga Barrera.

“The vaccine is already being applied in regions near distribution centers, and as of January 9, that will be when it will be applied primarily in the 238 medical units that will be available in all 67 municipalities of Chihuahua,” he said.

During this vaccination campaign, which is a reinforcement against Covid-19, medical units, hospitals and health centers of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), Institute of Security and Social Services of State Workers (Issste) and the Ministry of Health.

“An attempt is made to apply 118 thousand 900 doses and they are directed above all to the elderly; but any person over the age of 18 who requests it can apply to them,” Lechuga Barrera specified.

The vaccination coordinator recommended that people wishing to be vaccinated go to the health centers of the Ministry of Health; to the Family Doctor Unit and Area General Hospital of IMSS and ISSSTE.

In Guachochi, for example, go to hospital 26; in Allende, at Hospital 36; in Bocoyna and the IMSS Hospital 18 de San Juanito.

In the ISSSTE hospitals of Ojinaga, Camargo, Guerrero, Madera, Nuevo Casas Grandes, Cuauhtémoc, Jiménez, Parral, Juárez, Delicias and Chihuahua they also apply the Abdala vaccine.

In the rest of the municipalities, people who require reinforcements against the Covid-19 can go to the Health Center of their community.
