Cuban mother who was in a coma recovers in Tampa – 2024-05-11 17:11:33

The young Arianna Hernández, a Cuban mother who was left in a coma for a time in the city of Tampa after suffering a seizure at the end of Marchhas shown great improvement, something his family was looking forward to.

According to videos shared by the young woman’s family, the improvement is such that Arianna can now speak, something that marks a very important step in her recovery.

The mother suffered a seizure and several strokes, which left her bedridden for many days. On that occasion, doctors indicated that the chances of her recovery were very small, although the family never lost hope.

Videos shared on the social network TikTok indicated that the young woman, known as La China, by her loved ones, was admitted on March 28 to the Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace, Florida, where she was eventually evicted by the institution.

During this time, her family, especially her husband Jorge Luis Herrera, stayed by her side, doing everything possible to help her recover.

In one of the videos, you can see the young woman having a brief conversation, answering that she wanted spaghetti and pizza, but not croquettes, when it came to knowing what she wanted to eat.

In another she can be seen drinking water, stating that it is cold. A third video shows her with her son, while she holds her hand and says some words of gratitude.

“My son, who always supported me in everything and who was here through everything strong and never gave up. Thank you. He has always been my driving force. Thank you, thank you,” said the recovering woman.

The woman’s case caught the attention of the community, moving Cubans inside and outside the Island. The family organized a campaign on the GoFundMe platform, which raised more than $34,000.

This campaign began as a request for help for the minor, since it was thought that the Cuban woman’s death was inevitable; however, when she showed improvement, the family said that they would use the support to cover the medical expenses that were piling up.
