A young mother originally from Cuba died in the United States after a spectacular traffic accident. Now, her family is asking for help by raising funds to pay for funeral expenses.
According to information shared on social networks, the young woman was identified as Rachel Tenrero Rodríguez, 29 years old, who left behind four small children.
Her sister, Yeney Tenrero, indicated that she suffered a car accident in the early hours of March 31, in the state of Kentucky, just a few months after entering the country through a CBP One appointment.
Now, the young woman’s family organized a campaign on the platform GoFundMe with the aim of raising enough money to pay for the deceased’s funeral.
“My sister died on March 31 at dawn due to a car accident. She has left behind 4 children. We created a donation page to cover funeral expenses,” the publication reads.
The family detailed that Rachel orphaned two seven-year-old girls and a pair of twin boys who were only two years old.
Her sister described her as a very positive young woman who always left a positive impact on the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her, so her sudden departure took everyone by surprise and left a void that will be impossible to fill.
His family indicated that the leftover funds from the campaign will be allocated to an account with which the needs of the four minors who were orphaned will be met.
As of this writing, the campaign has raised more than $6,000, with the help of 170 people.
Young Rachel was not the only Cuban to tragically lose her life shortly after entering the United States. One of the most recent cases was that of Omar Ortiz, who died in the city of Atlanta at the beginning of February.
The América TeVé media outlet indicated that he was heading to a restaurant to celebrate with his family, and that the most tragic thing about the matter was that the Cuban had only arrived in the United States for about 24 hours.
