The Cuban Marta León, who was abandoned by her son while they were crossing the Darien Jungle at the end of Augustis already in Brazil with her daughter, Yudith Rejas León.
According to a publication shared on social networks by Rejas León, the woman arrived in the South American country in the last few hours, and is ready to begin the recovery process.
“I am grateful for everyone. Thank you for your concern, support and blessings. My mom is already with us. There is a lot to do to recover her health,” reads the post shared in the Facebook group ‘Cubans in Brazil’.
The post was accompanied by a photograph in which Yudith and her mother appear in a wheelchair, due to the problems she faced in the jungle during the days she was abandoned.
Likewise, a video was shared on the platform TikTokwhich shows the exact moment in which the Cuban women hugged each other after not seeing each other for a long time.

Although the woman reported her case more than a month ago, the meeting between her and her daughter had to be delayed, because she did not have her identity documents, which would have been taken by her son Lázaro when he left her with her. luck in the jungle.
The woman’s case went viral when other migrants encountered her in the jungle and began sharing the video. These people revealed that the woman was abandoned by her son, and that she had been lying on the bank of a river for several days.
Upon seeing her, her daughter recognized her, so she began to ask for help on social networks to organize her rescue. The woman was carried to civilization aboard an improvised stretcher, which was carried by several migrants who showed solidarity with her.
A few days later, his son, Lázaro Rejas León, gave his own version of the events.stating that she had fallen down a small ravine, and that, upon seeing her unconscious, he thought she had died, so he left.
However, this version was denied by Martawho claimed that she was awake when her son saw her, and that she even ignored his cries for help when he began to walk away.
