(CNN Spanish) — Cuban Mijaín López won the men’s 130 kg Greco-Roman wrestling final on Tuesday against Chilean Yasmani Acosta to further enhance his legend.
López competed in the final against his disciple and friend, the Chilean Yasmani Acosta, and took the gold by a score of 6-0.
Despite the defeat, Acosta won the silver medal, the 15th in Chile’s Olympic history and the first in Greco-Roman wrestling.

With his victory and his gold medal, Mijaín López is without a doubt the best fighter in history.
He achieved a record that no other human being has: winning a gold medal in five consecutive Olympic Games in an individual discipline. All these medals came in the same 130 kg Greco-Roman wrestling event:

“The journey has come to an end, it is time for me to rest. My body is asking for rest. I am happy with everything, happy with who I am and how I will continue to be,” said López after his fight.
