Cuban Flo Leccese, bronze medal at the European Powerlifting Championships

The European Powerlifting Federation and the Swedish Powerlifting Federation hosted in Eskilstuna (Sweden) the European Powerlifting Championships equipped with masters from July 6 to 10, 2022. They consist of three movements: squat, bench press and deadlift. 134 athletes (86 men and 48 women) participated in this championship and the coveted medals. The Cubzaguaise Flo Leccese competed in Master 2 – of 69 kg where she predicted a 5e place… but in squat, she broke her record with 147.5 kg. It’s off to a good start for the Frenchwoman who is now aiming for the podium. After good performances: 90 kg in bench press and 135 kg in deadlift, Flo is propelled to third place in the general classification with a title of vice European champion in bench press and a bronze medal in squat. Overall (3 events) final, a third place behind the Norwegian with barely 13.5 kg difference. Flo Leccese is now part of the leading pack. The podium is therefore Norway, England and France. In a month it will be Budapest and the European Championships in bench press and bench press for Mélisa Meunier and Flo Leccese with many opponents for the podium.
