The chancellor Marcelo Ebrard confirmed that next Saturday, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador will receive the President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, in Campeche, where they will hold bilateral meetings throughout the day.
“(They will have meetings) with various officials from both countries to review how the bilateral relationship is going, especially the exchange of medical issues, and other issues that are pending, that must be reviewed. This will take place on Saturday, in Campeche, it will last all day, and on Sunday morning, the president of Cuba will retire,” he explained during the inauguration of the Retreat on Mediation “Latin America and the Caribbean”.

He explained that the topics to be discussed will be the arrival of Cuban doctors to the country to support health institutions, the purchase of doses of the Abdala vaccine, and pharmaceutical equipment from that country.
“Probably there are other issues in economic matters, we will see on Saturday what can be achieved, but I think that it will essentially be the medical issue and the pharmaceutical equipment”, he abounded.
