Cuban actress Lily Bergues, popular for her character as Marina in the recently completed soap opera “Pending Issues,” celebrated her first birthday party in the United States over the weekend, a country she moved to in mid-July.
Lily Bergues turned 40 on Sunday and did so surrounded by a dozen friends, her husband and their two young children, Leo and Leah, in the Country Club residential community in Florida. “And this is what I have accumulated: Love, friends, family, beginnings,” said the actress about her emotional birthday party.
In a publication that she shared via Instagram, Lily appears with her children and their friends, who took advantage of a moment of the night to serenade her with the theme “Lady of the four decades”, by the Guatemalan singer-songwriter Ricardo Arjona.

The actress confessed that it has been one of the best birthday surprises she has received, since she does not usually feel comfortable being the protagonist of any event. But this time she could feel happy and grateful with her circle of friends.
“Those who know me know that on my birthday I feel strange things. Come on, I don’t like them. It’s not because I’m a year older, it’s because I don’t like being the center of anything. It’s not humility, it’s that I don’t know how to react normally when I have the leading role. I feel sorry, my hands sweat and I get nervous. I don’t like what I feel.
