Another Cuban actress is fulfilling her dream of emigrating to the United States to reunite with her family and escape the needs of a people mired in misery and communist demagogy. This is Lili Santiesteban, known in the Cuban community for her interpretation of various characters for which she is identified.

At the airport, her husband Antonio Luis González, who is also known in the artistic world as Tonny Luis, met her. According to the publication that the beautiful actress made on her Instagram profile, she arrived in the United States with her son on Monday, August 26, which coincides with her 36th birthday, something that for her is more than a dream, it is a blessing.

“Today is my birthday and it is one of the happiest days of my life, but that is not the only thing I celebrate, I celebrate the blessing that God has given me of reaching the end of this road, of being with my husband,” wrote Santiesteban, who also reflected on how long she was separated from her partner and how much she struggled to reunite.

The text was accompanied by a beautiful photo of the couple and the child born of their love, quite happy for the opportunity that life has given them to be able to get together in a country full of opportunities for young people and especially for those artists who see their professions cut short despite the talent they carry within.

Friends and followers, upon hearing the news, sent various congratulatory messages through the comments section, also wishing him much success in his new stage of life in the land of freedom.

«God, I thought it was Otaola. Congratulations, another great Cuban actress who is leaving us in search of a better future.» «Congratulations, Lili! How nice! You are beautiful and you deserve all the beautiful things that happen to you! Kisses.» «I am jumping for joy for you, my Lilita. Love, lots of love for the three of you.» «Congratulations, beautiful family, very happy for you.» «Finally, how lovely we are to see each other, but we will talk tomorrow, we love you, what a great happiness it was», are some of the more than 300 comments that the publication received at the time of writing this note.

The talented woman has played several roles on television, but the most recent and notable of her career was in 2022 in the soap opera Tan lejos y tan cerca in which she played the character of Yaquelín, a delegate from a Cuban neighborhood. This particular role caused her to be called by that name on the street and even as “delegate,” something that she believes causes her a lot of joy and laughter due to people’s occurrences, as she expressed in an interview with the official CubaSí website two years ago.

“In my neighborhood, people sometimes forget that I am a character, that I am an actress, and they show me the problems of the building where I live and on the streets, which is very fun and, at the same time, rewarding,” said the beautiful girl from Holguín.

Another of Santiesteban’s artistic skills is singing and dancing, which is why he joined the group Verdarte, where he also expanded his artistic record that has helped him grow as a professional, although he believes that his path towards music is becoming increasingly consolidated.

“I have always been very versatile, but if there is one thing I would like to do, it is to dedicate myself to singing professionally, either with my own group or solo, because interpreting lyrics denotes sensitivity and is closely linked to when one gives life to a character,” he added to the aforementioned site.

In 2022, Lili also made headlines for reacting indignantly to a response given by the Cuban authorities following complaints from the population regarding the supply of liquefied gas in Havana.

The woman who graduated from the National School of Art (ENA) and later studied at the Higher Institute of Art (ISA) now faces a different scenario in every sense, far from administrative barriers and in a world full of offers and opportunities to grow professionally and personally. It only depends on her to get ahead as other Cuban artists have done who enjoy great acceptance among their compatriots in the United States.
