Cuba has reported 25 new cases of Covid-19 at the end of this December 31, after having taken 997 samples for the surveillance of this disease, the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported today.
Until this Saturday, the country had accumulated 14,274,756 tests for the detection of the disease caused by SARS-Cov-2, of which 1,112,018 were positive, while 152 patients were hospitalized, 44 suspected and 108 confirmed active, with a stable clinical evolution.
The MINSAP report indicated that of the 25 new infections, 19 were contacts of confirmed cases, four with an overseas source of infection and two without a specific source of infection.
No severe or critical patients are reported in the country’s intensive care services, nor any deaths.
At the close of the statistics on December 29, 42 million 712 thousand 334 administered doses of the Cuban vaccines Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala accumulated in the country.
