Cuba won its first victory in the U-12 Pan American Championship this Tuesday, defeating Argentina 15-0.
The disciples of mentor Vladimir Vargas scored 12 times in the opening chapter, to establish their superiority over the Albiceleste rivals on the grass of the Andy Alonso municipal stadium.
Only in that endless inning, between the defeated Thomas Tolaba and his substitute Dante Cassis, they granted six walks, hit two pitches, threw four out-of-control pitches that led to the advancement of runners on bases and made an illegal movement (balk).
To top it all off, the Cubans, who left their bags full, hit four singles and a double and the defense made a couple of mistakes.

With that disproportionate score, the starter for the largest island in the Caribbean, Rydel Pérez, only pitched one inning to stay in rotation and Frank Luis Cañizares pitched two immaculate innings to score the victory.
Jeison Pérez got two outs but hit three batters and Alan López retired the last one to leave the Argentines without hits throughout the match.
The winners Humberto Alfonso stood out on offense by compiling 2-2 with a double included, Oliver Monteagudo (2-1) and Diego Girón (3-1), all with a couple of trailers to their records.
The day before, the Cubans fell to the Dominican Republic with a score of 1-6, and tomorrow, Wednesday at 10:30, local time, they will face Brazil and then resume the challenge against Puerto Rico, sealed by rain in the first inning when they won 2- 0.
On Thursday they will conclude the group stage against Venezuela.
