Cuatrecasas incorporates 9 partners in Chile, Colombia and Mexico

The partners of the Cuatrecasas law firm have approved the incorporation of nine partners in Chile, Colombia and Mexico to strengthen their position in Latin America, as reported by the firm in a statement.

Specifically, the company has incorporated Roberto Guererro as the coordinating partner of the commercial area in the Santiago de Chile office, with whom three lawyers will join its current team, which are Tomás Kubick, Macarena Ravinet and Josefina Yávar; and will incorporate Alfonso Ugarte as partners in the Mercantil area in Santiago de Chile.

Chilean lawyer Roberto Guerrero has 30 years of experience in corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, and banking and financial law, in addition to having participated in numerous operations in the Chilean market.

His professional practice has focused on the areas of commercial, financial and corporate law and in this capacity he has been involved in the design, negotiation and implementation of complex businesses on behalf of national and foreign clients, including North American, European and Asian multinationals. , in various sectors of the economy.

For its part, in Bogotá the company has incorporated Manuel Quinche as the new managing partner of the office and coordinator of the Finance and Banking practice; and Alessia Bello and Juan Felipe Vera as new partners.

With regard to Manuel Quinche, Cuatrecasas has highlighted that he is an expert in the areas of structured finance, project finance and mergers and acquisitions. Quinche has acted as legal advisor to national and international borrowers, lenders and financial entities in various corporate finance operations and project financing, including, among others, financing with commercial banks, syndicated financing, with multilateral entities, with credit agencies of export and through capital markets.

In his career, his participation in the most complex and valuable financings carried out in Colombia stands out, as well as in the two largest mergers and acquisitions in the country’s history. Previously, he worked in law firms in Colombia and the United States.

At the same time, Javier Díaz de León will be a new partner in the tax area in the Mexico City office. Díaz de León specializes in the area of ​​international taxes and has presented to public and private investment funds, brokerage houses, manufacturing and distribution companies, maritime and air transport consortia for the energy industry, among others.

The new Cuatrecasas partner has provided tax advisory services in matters of creation of regulated and unregulated funds, financial products, M&A, corporate restructuring, joint ventures, financing, structuring of real estate developments, energy and infrastructure projects and international trusts for the administration and transfer of patrimonial assets.
