Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) has seen a slight correction this week, as investors are worried about the escalating conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
Throughout this week, the country’s benchmark stock market index fell slightly by 0.05% on an average basis point-to-point. On Friday’s trade yesterday (25/2/2022), the JCI closed up 1.03% to 6,888.17.
JCI movements throughout this week also tend to fluctuate. The JCI was recorded to have strengthened for three days, namely on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. While the JCI correction this week occurred on Tuesday and Thursday.
Although the JCI tends to be volatile this week, the index managed to set a new record (all time high/ATH) at 6,920.06, which was on Wednesday trading.
During the week, the value of JCI transactions reached Rp 84.6 trillion. Foreign investors are recorded to have taken net buying (net buy) to reach Rp 4.4 trillion in all markets this week.
In the midst of a slight correction in the JCI this week, several stocks managed to score the biggest rallies (top gainers) this week.
According to data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), at least the six stocks that are top gainers so far this week has increased from 24% to 44%, some even skyrocketed to 149%.
