A new feature was launched this Wednesday on the CTS application. It is now possible to recharge your Badgéo card via your smartphone.
A small revolution. Since this Wednesday, it is now possible for Strasbourg residents to recharge their Badgéo card via their smartphone. This feature is available on the Compagnie des Transports Strasbourgeois application.
“The CTS application is evolving. Your phone will become a ‘small vending machine’. You will be able, with a phone, to recharge any Badgéo card”, rejoices Emmanuel Auneau, general manager of the CTS, at the microphone of BFM Alsace.
Reduce queues
The principle is simple. People whose smartphones are equipped with NFC technology can affix their card to the back of their phone in order to top up. With this new advance, the CTS hopes to be able to improve the service for users.
“We hope that with this functionality, we will be able to reduce the queues. The shop nevertheless remains an essential and indispensable point of information”, adds Emmanuel Auneau.
CTS fares have recently increased. The single ticket rose by 20 cents to reach 1.90 euros on July 1st.
