CTP Iași has set the price of new travel tickets for buses and trams running in the city. The draft decision has been launched for public debate. The final decision will be taken by the plenum of the Local Council of Iași Municipality
In the coming months, travel tickets from the Iasi Public Transport Company (CTP) will be more expensive. The municipality and the representatives of CTP Iași have decided to increase the price of travel tickets, after the recent surge in fuel prices and more. The draft decision was launched for public debate, the final decision to be taken by the plenary of the Local Council in the next period. The management of the municipality has decided to increase the travel tickets since a few weeks ago.
The new price for CTP Iași travel tickets!
According to the draft decision, the price of a ticket with a trip will increase from 2.5 lei to 3 lei for zone 1. The price of 3 lei will be kept for zone 2, respectively for buses arriving in the Iași Metropolitan Area. A travel ticket valid for zone 1 and zone 2 will cost 4 lei. A ticket with 2 trips will cost 6 lei for zone 1, but also 6 lei for zone 2. A set of tickets with 20 trips will cost 55 lei. A single 30-day subscription will cost 110 lei for zone 1. A 30-day subscription for zone 2 will cost 40 lei, and a monthly subscription for the 2 zones will cost 150 lei.
A single 7-day subscription will cost 30 lei for zone 1. For zone 2 such a subscription will cost 20 lei, and for the two zones combined, the price will be 50 lei for 7 days. A single 1-day subscription will cost 12 lei, compared to only 10 lei, as before. A single 6-month subscription will cost 550 lei, and a 12-month one will cost 1,100 lei. Also, a 3-day tourist pass will cost 40 lei.
New prices for pupils and students
A discounted travel ticket for pupils and students, for 30 days, will cost 16 lei. A travel ticket valid for pupils and students would be 1.5 lei, and a ticket with 2 trips would be 3 lei. A single 30-day subscription will cost 55 lei for zone 1 and 20 lei for zone 2. A single 7-day subscription will cost 15 lei for zone 1 and 25 lei for zone 2. A single one-day subscription it will cost 6 lei.
According to the draft decision, a single 30-day subscription for those who donate blood will cost 55 lei. Compensation of 50 percent of this amount will be awarded. The unique one-day subscription, of 12 lei, will be granted free of charge. CTP Iași also exchanged at the level of its employees.
CTP Iasi provides freebies for several categories
The draft decision also includes some categories that will continue to benefit from free public transport. The expenses will be borne by compensations by Iași City Hall. Retired persons over the age of 65 living in Iași, including those without income and who have reached retirement age, will benefit free of charge.
Retired people up to the age of 65 whose pensions are lower than the minimum gross salary in the country will also benefit from free transport. Veterans and war widows, revolutionaries from December 1989, as well as people with severe disabilities and their companions will also travel free of charge. Most likely, the new price of CTP Iași tickets will enter into force this summer.
