“When I joined the police in 1990, I only knew police work from period TV series. I learned on the march. Nevertheless, in 1993 my great life dream came true and I started investigating murders. But it was a turbulent time, the onslaught of murders and crime was great and the police were not sufficiently prepared for it. So, as a young novice investigator who didn’t know anything, I got into cases I wouldn’t normally get to. Thanks to that, I participated in major cases, “recalled Josef Mareš, who collaborated with Matěj Podzimek on the script.

“We will allow the viewer to know more about who their job is to search for murderers. What do they do when they are not at work and how can this not only time-consuming, but above all mentally demanding work be reconciled with everyday life. At the same time, we tried to place individual criminal cases not only in different parts of the Ostrava region, but also in different social environments. We were then interested not only in perpetrators, but also in victims of crime, “said creative producer Kateřina Ondřejková.
