The organization, which includes a number of countries from the post-Soviet space, has created a mechanism for cooperation between security officials.

The member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) decided to create a military police, investigation, prosecutor’s office and courts. The corresponding agreement was signed at the summit on Thursday, September 16, the CSTO press service reported.

It is noted that the presidents of the CSTO countries signed an agreement on jurisdiction and the provision of legal assistance in cases related to the temporary presence of forces and means of collective security in the territories of the CSTO countries

“The document regulates the creation of a mechanism for cooperation between the competent authorities of the CSTO member states: military police, military investigation, military prosecutor’s office, military courts (tribunals) – in criminal and administrative cases in relation to persons who are part of the forces and means of the collective security system,” says the message.

As you know, the CSTO includes Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
