The opening ceremony was chaired by Mr. Serge Poda, Minister of Industrial Development, Trade, Crafts and Small and Medium Enterprises. For a week, administrators will address CSR issues within their structure.

This session is placed under the theme of “Corporate social responsibility and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) skills of directors and officers of public companies for responsible governance”. Initiated by the General Directorate for Business Promotion, with a view to improving the management of public companies, the objective of this seminar, according to Minister Poda, is twofold. It aims, on the one hand, to provide directors of public and parapublic companies with appropriate knowledge, and on the other hand, to strengthen their skills in environmental, social and societal governance, with a view to successful implementation of policies. of CSR in their respective structures. Divided into several groups, the participants are essentially administrators, managers of State Companies, Mixed Economy Companies and State public establishments. This training is then intended to be a platform for these company executives to improve the level of implementation of good governance tools, and to engage their structures in the formulation of clear CSR policy, in accordance with the guidelines of the Assembly. General of State Companies. Also, this session will provide participants with the basics necessary for integrating CSR into their mission.

Over 5 days, in addition to the main theme, this seminar is planned to develop two sub-themes. Communications on the missions of the Ouagadougou Arbitration, Mediation and Conciliation Center (CAMCO), and on the digitalization of public administration services in a context of health and security challenges will be given. The first aims to provide information on the existence of CAMCO as an alternative justice for stakeholders and to publicize the interest in resorting to arbitration and mediation in resolving disputes. As for the second, it is part of the dynamic of implementing the government’s direction within the framework of the digitalization of procedures and the dematerialization of public administration acts. The minister did not fail to urge the seminarians to make this meeting a real framework for exchanges and sharing of experiences.
Two activities are included alongside this training. This is a tourist visit and a screening and vaccination campaign against hepatitis B. The visit is part of the promotion of internal tourism, in accordance with the Prime Minister’s circular relating to organization of tourist excursions during meetings and events, with a view to promoting Burkinabè tourism which constitutes a lever for the country’s development.
The president of the Special Delegation of the Municipality of Bobo, Adama Bidiga, who was present at this launch, did not fail to show his gratitude to the initiators and to rejoice in the holding of this meeting once again in the town of Sya.
