Little reminder:
In the spring of 2024, the CISSS de la Montérégie-Est made the unilateral decision to end the laundry services of the Pierre-Boucher Hospital to deal with the private sector. The public laundry serves 22 establishments and has proven itself, among other things, during the pandemic. Providing your services to a company that aims for profit means exposing yourself to significant cost increases in the years to come. It is also a loss of expertise for the public sector.
Furthermore, the CISSS refuses to provide the union with complete information so that it can propose a public and financially viable alternative to the privatization of the laundry.
