CSKA ran over Beroe, Bulgarian football hope excelled – 2024-03-03 14:39:46

The CSKA team gave its fans a victory on the national holiday of Bulgaria – March 3, reports Dir.bg.

The happier thing in this case is that on the way to the 3:0 success against Beroe today and the three points, the “armies” were inspired by a native player – Stanislav Shopov, who was one of the three Bulgarians in Nestor El Maestro’s starting line-up. next to Martin Stoychev and Hristiyan Petrov.

The youngster of Botev Plovdiv, who wears the iconic shirt with number 8 for the capital city, played very strongly and added two goals and an assist to his name. The other goal was the work of Matias Phaeton, who received a goal pass precisely from Shopov.

At the “Vasil Levski” national stadium, the hosts took the lead in the third minute, when Shopov with a diagonal shot just under the crossbar did not leave much of a chance for the visitors’ goalkeeper – 1:0. The task of the capital city became even easier in the 17th minute when Franco Ramos received a red card. The visitors’ captain was sent off after bringing down the breakaway himself on goalkeeper Fernando Karanga with his hands.

Thus, for the second match in a row, Staro Zagorets finished with a reduced team, after the starting goalkeeper Rodrigo Achinelli was sent off at home to Ludogorets.

Phaeton doubled the score in the 33rd minute when he was led behind the defense by a great pass from Shopov and scored the second goal of the match from a small angle.

Five minutes later, CSKA made a sacrifice as Jurgen Matai left due to injury and was replaced by Enes Mahmutovic.

In the 48th minute, Phaeton returned the favor to Shopov, assisting him in turn. The midfielder was accurate again with a soft shot, which again fell almost under the crossbar – 3:0.

In the second half, Beroe continued to defend, given the fact that they were with 10 men and in general the visitors’ performance was rather lackluster. On the other hand, the “armies” attacked constantly and at every opportunity the players in red tried to fire at the opponent’s goal.

Fifteen minutes before the end, Stanislav Shopov was replaced by Emmanuel Shakic and deservedly sent off with applause from the stands.

Today’s three points tied CSKA with the second in the standings – Ludogorets, as both teams have 48. The leader is Black Sea with 51, but the “sailors” and the capital team have two games more than the champions from Razgrad.
