VALENCIA (EP). The Central Independent and Public Officials Union (CSIF) has asked the Ministry of Education for a general lowering of the coefficients in all levels of education.
The union insisted on this issue which it claimed with the aim of starting negotiating now, so that next year there is “more personalized attention to students and focused on the needs of each student,” he said in a statement. .
CSIF underlines in its letter that “in order to obtain the quality of teaching required by the Valencian education system, it is necessary to reduce the number of students per class at all stages of education”.
The union stresses that this measure “would mean more personalized attention that would allow the teacher to focus on each student’s needs and singularities”. The current situation in the centers is characterized, he added, by “high ratios and a lack of splits and reinforcements for the students”.
It is also stressed that these ratios are higher than those of previous courses, in which the Ministry, due to the pandemic, applied a reduction in the number of students per classroom and an increase in teaching staff “which allowed for more individualized attention” .
The Trade Union Center also stresses that establishing a definitive reduction in relationships “would give the opportunity to keep classrooms in areas that are becoming depopulated and where there is a risk of closure of units due to the small number of students they have. this offer would help prevent depopulation of these areas, “he insisted.
The union considers it necessary to start the negotiation “now” so that it can be dealt with early enough for the design of the models for the next course.
In the same way, it asks for the development of all the modules of the Professional Training cycles to offer, along the same lines, the most personalized attention to the students who follow them.
