Csaplár: You got Sparta for free thanks to the owner who has it as a toy! The former coach sharply criticizes Rosický and Sivok

Tomáš Rosický is undoubtedly one of the most talked about people in Sparta Prague. So far, however, he has “received” rather a number of mockery and negative statements directed at him. In the position of sports director, the icon of Czech football is not doing very well so far, but Josef Csaplár comes with some advice and massive criticism addressed not only to him, but also to Tomáš Sivok.

Rosický took up the post of sporting director of Sparta Prague at the end of 2018, specifically in December. And the fans have been promising a lot since his arrival – for example, the return of somewhat faded European glory and at least one title in the next three years.

However, none of these wishes have come true for Spartan fans. In short, it’s not the same in cup Europe, the league title is nowhere, a minor consolation is at least winning one MOL Cup. Although the Sparta fans left the last final sad after losing 1:3 to Slovácko.

It should be noted that at the end of the season, the Spartans started a heated debate about whether Rosicky should give up his place to someone else. However, he ended all debates when he announced that he was staying at Letná.

And it is precisely this topic that Csaplár analyzes in his traditional glossary for Sport.czwhen he compared not only Rosický, but also the incoming Tomáš Sivok to an electrician working in a nuclear power plant.

“I will start today’s glossary in an unusual way. By story. About an electrician who worked in nuclear power plants all over Europe. But he was still an electrician. He changed fuses, light bulbs. One day, someone decided to make him the operations director for safety at the Temelín nuclear power plant.

At that moment, two possibilities arose for him. Either he is judgmental and realizes that he has no managerial experience to make decisions about nuclear safety, even though he has only ever worked in nuclear power plants. He says to himself: I have to learn, study, work, watch. I will keep the post, but I cannot make any decisions yet,” Csaplár brings the story of Sparta Prague closer.

Furthermore, Csaplár defends Rosický in particular and claims that neither Rosický nor CEO František Čupr had any sporting responsibility at all. Zero.

According to him, coaches should be held accountable for bad performances, but they were punished by dismissal for their actions. Specifically, Csaplár appointed Zdeňko Ščásny, Václav Jílek, Václav Kotal, Pavel Vrba and their assistants.

“Sparta and the national team are worth the reward. For numbers, for achievements. You two got Sparta for free. Just because you played football well and someone made you a good image. But that’s all,” Csaplár responds to Rosický and Sivok’s posts.

“You got to these places thanks to the owner who did something that he would not have allowed himself to do in his companies in his life. Because companies have to make money to be able to afford this toy, which is called AC Sparta Prague. He installed incompetent people in it, for various reasons (which may be a topic for other glossaries), in the positions of directors.” complements.

In his glossary, Csaplár leaned heavily on Sivok, who, according to him, is nowhere near competent for the position he currently holds.

“Tomas, if you really believe that you will come to training and learn from it what connection it has with game performance and what you would do differently to improve the team and subsequent implementation in the match, then I have to tell you that you are not entitled. Custodian and Masseur, he has, no joke, far more influence than you do,” criticizes Csaplár sharply.

The former coach of Zlín or Příbram gives advice to both at the end. According to Csaplár, if they both want to grow, they must realize that Rosický and Sivok are the electricians.

“You are not the directors now, nor are you partners for coach Priske. If you think you are the directors already, then poor Sparta fans. Take note: the path to becoming a really good sports manager is much more difficult than your football path.” concluded.
