The basic part of Fortuna League 2021/22 is a thing of the past, thirty laps have escaped like water. Many hitherto unknown players have made a name for themselves, but some, on the contrary, have been clearly below expectations. Who is it?
Michael Krmenčík
The name Krmenčík does not surprise anyone. The shapely striker came with the prospect of becoming the number one striker, but already in the autumn he indicated that he did not have the performance or running of Jan Kuchta or Ivan Schranz.
After Kuchta’s departure, his chances of more time increased, but after losing to Karviná in the opening spring round, he never fought his way into the basic line-up. A wasted year for him, a waste of money for Slavia. But first of all, the spoiled reputation of Krmenčík in Pilsen, where they loved him until last summer.
Bořek Dočkal
With regard to the last seasons, not so much was expected from Bořek Dočkal, but due to the playing time, his performances can be assessed as very bad. Sparta’s fans have been annoyed and annoyed to this day by taking time for the promising Adam Karabec.
Numerically, Dočkal’s season does not look like a failure (1 + 6), but Captain Sparta has collected five of the seven points in the last five rounds. Previously, in nineteen matches, two assists. This is simply not enough for the first choice for an offensive backup, especially when we add that Dočkal will not help the team even backwards.
Roman Potočný
In recent years, Potočný has been one of the leading wings of the league. Well, not among the very best, but he’s always been productive. However, he will definitely not remember this season with a smile, at least not in the second half.
In the autumn, he gradually began to disappear from the basic line-up of Baník, so it was a surprise when Pilsen brought him to visit. He jumped off the bench in two league matches, then only entered the nomination once. The 0 + 3 balance is very weak on Potočný.
Mads Emil Madsen
Slavia’s fans cheered after his arrival in the summer. This was definitely influenced by the Danish national team’s progress to the Euro 2020 semifinals, the Danish footballers were praised, while it was enough to look at the statistics from Madsen’s last season, in which he hardly played in the Linz jersey.
Madsen bravely chose the legendary number 21 for the jersey, but at least he hasn’t made a hole in the world with it yet. Only two starts in the basic line-up, during which he did not convince due to slow legs and poor defense. It will be difficult to push through, hosting is offered somewhere in the Czech Republic.
Adam Janos
Some saw him in the national team two years ago and once he actually entered the nomination (autumn 2020), so it is a mystery how Jánoš suddenly dropped out of Baník. It’s easy, he didn’t play well.
The deployment of János to the second dormitory paid off for Ostrava, the experienced Daniel Tetour and the young Filip Kaloč understand each other very well and can play together for another three or four years. In the winter, János went to his rival from Karviná, but he didn’t get up there either, and he didn’t even make the last matches due to injuries.
