As we wrote, last Tuesday the Hungarian Anti-Doping Group (MACS) updated on its official website the list of ongoing Hungarian doping cases, according to which two swimmers and a wrestler are suspects. The organization has not announced more, citing the athletes’ personal rights, but rumors are spreading in the press, the Index and surrounded the swimmers involved, stating that both are butterfly swimmers, the man a well-known Olympian, the woman the Hungarian champion. Our newspaper thought it important to add it according to our information, the best-known Hungarian swimmer was not in trouble.
This is where the doping scandal is at the moment, to which Csaba Sós added his own on the M1 morning news on Wednesday. He first clarified that obviously he knows who the swimmers are, but he can’t reveal their names, but he did confirm that it’s a female and a male contestant. He urged patience, because according to him there is a big difference between doping and doping violation, and at the moment the situation of swimmers is not clear, as he said: there are question marks on the legal side.
