The Crysis website has released information on Crysis Remastered, a game under development for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Developer Crytek previously hinted at a remaster of the graphically demanding game from 2007.

At the time of writing, Crysis.com shows a video of a few seconds in a loop, without substantive information. A Twitter user commented that the cookie policy page contains a Crysis Remastered logo. Furthermore, the source code of the site revealed more information, including an image showing the platforms on which the new version of Crysis will be released.

One of the images shows a screenshot of the game. The environment seen on it is very similar to the fragment recently in a demonstration video of the CryEngine appeared. In two such videos, Crytek has recently shown fragments reminiscent of Crysis, without mentioning which game it is. Crysis’ Twitter account also started again this week post messages, which last happened in 2016.

Crytek has not yet officially announced Crysis Remastered. For the time being, it is only known on which platforms the updated version will be released. The game came out in 2007 and was then graphically startling. At the release it was challenging to run the game smoothly. Only in the following years did video cards come out that made this possible with the highest settings at high resolutions.
