Data collected by the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (CoFTRA) indicates the number of transactions crypto- in Indonesia in September 2022 it reached 260 trillion rupees. This value is much higher than the transaction value of the previous 2 years which reached only Rs. 64.9 trillion. However, cryptocurrency consumers need to be encouraged by this achievement, even if it hasn’t passed 2021.
In connection with this, CoFTRA’s acting chief Didid Noordiatmoko explained that the 2021 transaction value is the highest result of crypto transactions, or 859.5 trillion rupees. In a press release for CoFTRA dated September 30, 2022, you stated that this fluctuating condition is a common thing.
“Difficult market conditions are a natural thing. In 2021, the total value of cryptocurrency trading transactions will reach Rp 859.5 trillion. Meanwhile, the total transaction value between January and August 2022 was recorded at 249. Rp. 3 trillion, down 56.35% from the same period last year, “Didid said.
Furthermore, Didid revealed that the number of cryptocurrency consumers in Indonesia is increasing day by day. That is, in the midst of price and sentiment fluctuations, the crypto ecosystem is growing like a mushroom in society. Note that as of August 2022, the number of cryptocurrency consumers counted 16.1 million customers.
