Bitcoin (BTC) falls to the bottom of a crucial borderbut a lot altcoins fell even faster last night. Loads of cryptocurrencies even lost 30% or more of their value in April, which has historically been a green month for the market. The total market cap of all crypto stands at $1.80 trillion today, down from 2.8% today and as much as 18% this month.

Ethereum Drops 16% in April
Ethereum (ETH) lost traction at $3,500 in early April and failed to hold on to $2,800 last night either. ETH briefly dipped to $2,730 last night and recovered to $2,770 this morning. With that, ETH is down 2.2% today and 16% down this month.

DOGE & BNB held up best in April
Dogecoin (DOGE) received a boost from Elon Musk last month, so that the price is slightly less deep in the red than the rest. Still, it is down 3% today to USD 0.131, down 8% in April. Binance coin (BNB) is also holding up relatively strong, but is still down 3% today and 12% this month to $385.
SHIB, LUNA, SOL deep in the red
Then the losses quickly start to mount. Shiba inu (SHIB) is down 5% today and 22.3% this month and now stands at $0.000021. Terra (LUNA) is down 4.1% to $80 today, marking 24% down from a month ago. Solana (SOL) is down 4.9% today and 27% this month to $89.
XRP, ADA, DOT, AVAX Dropped Fastest in April
Ripple (XRP) is down 4.5% today to $0.59 and is already down 30% this month. Polkadot (DOT) is down 7% today at $15 and is down 32.4% from 30 days ago. Cardano (ADA) is down 4.4% today and is even down 35% this month and now stands at $0.777. However, Avalanche (AVAX) was the biggest loser in April. AVAX is down 5.1% today, but even 40% this month. AVAX is currently trying to take back $60.
Crypto top 100 hardest fallers today
Lots of hard downers today. For example, enjin (ENJ), aave (AAVE), synthetix (SNX) and klaytn (KLAY) are 9% in the min. Theta (THETA), uniswap (UNI), thorchain (RUNE), sandbox (SAND) and helium (HNT ) are already 10% in the min. Decentraland (MANA), fantom (FTM), gala (GALA) and harmony (ONE) are 11% in the min. Lido (LDO) is down 12% and nexo (NEXO) and zilliqa (ZIL) by 13%. Filecoin (FIL) is even 15% in the min and apecoin (APE) no less than 24%.

Crypto top 100 hardest fallers of April
This month, eos (EOS), tezos (XTZ), elrond (EGLD), polygon (MATIC) and chainlink (LINK) are about 35% in the red. Algorand (ALGO), cosmos (ATOM), uniswap (UNI), internet computer (ICP), hedera (HBAR), filecoin (FIL) are down about 40% compared to 30 days ago. Sandbox (SAND), vechain (VET), ethereum classic (ETC) and decentraland (MANA) were down about 45%. Thorchain (RUNE) was the biggest loser from the top 100 in April and is even 49% down.
However, there was a single exception in April: green metaverse token (GMT), also known as STEPN. The GMT price is down 8.5% today, but still 60% in the plus compared to April 1.
