Looking for a 24/7 personal assistant for an 85-year-old woman, reports dnesbulgaria.com colleagues.
The lady is the grandmother of Violetta from Burgas. The woman lost both her children as well as her husband. Now without the granddaughter’s grandfather, it is too much for them to cope with.
In order to be approved by the Municipality of Burgas, the assistant must meet the following conditions:
– she must be an unconvicted lady over 60 years old, she can also be a pensioner;
– without loans and PSI (no liens);
– with at least minimal experience;
Granddaughter Violeta Raykova offers a 7-hour work contract to the Municipality of Burgas in the direction of “personal assistant” at a minimum wage, which has the corresponding work and health insurance experience. For pensioners, the full salary is paid and added to the seniority. Additional payment could reach up to BGN 1,400 (that is, the entire payment is BGN 1,400, including an overnight stay).
Along with this, one’s own room is provided, as are the bills for electricity, water, food, etc. they will be at the granddaughter’s expense (without the phone, but there is internet).
After 4 months (increased trial period by the municipality for the 7 working hours) it will be decided which day off during the week he will take, after 6 months and vacation (according to the municipality’s regulations).
The elderly woman is hardly mobile, with a walker. After 2 hip surgeries and a shorter leg. She is about 100 kg. She is almost deaf. She has a hearing aid and you have to speak to her in a louder voice. She is not lying on a diaper (but they do not turn it off afterwards). That is, there will be coexistence. She has food preferences and finds it difficult to cook for herself.
In case she falls, the apartment is secured with a security alarm with a panic button – they come and lift her onto the bed, but the assistant or the granddaughter must be there to unlock.
He is also highly dramatic and for some a burdensome person, repeating the same things over and over, which is normal due to deafness. Often diverting the conversation or doing some activity distracts her.
“There is no dementia. No other disorders. It’s just the way it is,” says Violeta.
She was born in Plovdiv, after her marriage she moved to Stara Zagora. In the last few years, they lived with Violeta’s grandfather in her apartment in Burgas.
Unfortunately, in Burgas it is very difficult to find an assistant for her, as I have only come across unfriendly people – that is, they want her to be in diapers, otherwise they would not have started. For this, I ask that people who do not want to negotiate, but to get additional information, if this was not enough for them, call me.
“Please call between 9am and 6pm! Phone 0878848258 – Violetta I will not respond to messenger, viber or any other type of messages,” the woman urges.
