The reconstruction
The man, a retired blacksmith, no stranger to using agricultural vehicles, was the victim of an accident that cost him his life. From the first reconstructions, it seems that the farmer was crushed between the tractor and a tree. Most likely, the agricultural vehicle will have found the roots of the tree under the hoes and escaped the control of the man who was crushed against the tree. With the motor hoe running, the man tried to fix some anomaly that he encountered during construction, but things didn’t go as he imagined.
The rescues
Emergency services were immediately alerted, but the 73-year-old died instantly. It appears that the man was not working on land he owned. Most likely, in fact, he was lending his workforce to an acquaintance. The police who arrived on site to carry out investigations and listen to some witnesses are now investigating the incident. The man’s body, as well as the motor hoe, have been seized. The body of Bernardino Baldi was transported to the morgue of the Umberto I hospital in Nocera Inferiore at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Nocerina.
