A cruel scandal on the air of the show “Intersection Point” on Nova TV. Economy Minister Lachezar Borisov got into a heated argument with his opponents in the studio during the election debate.
We entered the last week before the elections and in most studios are already arguing mainly representatives of the parties, which according to opinion polls will receive the most trust from voters on April 4.
Politicians from GERB – Minister Lachezar Borisov, BSP – Hristo Prodanov and MRF – Burhan Abazov were present at the “Crossroads” today.
At the very beginning of the show, however, the debate began, with screams literally deafening the studio. The very first economic topic provoked the representatives of the formations.
Minister Borissov first bit hard on Hristo Prodanov:
“It hurts you because the dams have been repaired. It hurts you that Bulgaria has remained stable,” he tried to overpower his opponent, but also received a shout and a fierce threat:
“We will overthrow you next week, dig up your nightstands and find the hidden money. This will be the first thing we will do,” Prodanov said.
However, Borissov did not seem to pay attention to his words, but continued to list how much GERB did for people and business during the crisis:
“360 million have reached business and people. During the global crisis, Bulgaria is number 1 in wage growth. During the crisis, we raised wages by about 8-10 percent. And not only in the state but also in the private sector. “So we reached a solid level during the crisis,” he said.
“Less than 50% has been given so far, in fact. Untimely help is not help,” Prodanov replied.
“Listening to the Minister, what championships we have, I expect when I leave the studio to find myself in the Garden of Eden. Unfortunately, the truth is completely different. Bulgaria is a leader, but in terms of the number of deaths.
Leadership is a failure of this government and this government. Everything else that was done as health and economic measures, for us they are too late, too controversial and too inadequate, he said.
“The data show that there are no companies in Bulgaria that are worse than last year. That is, the companies that have gone bankrupt, are in liquidation or are not active, maintain their levels and decrease by 4% compared to 2020, the minister countered.
“What the minister says is probably true, but the feeling among the people is different. These big numbers that you point out in the studio, the feeling among the people is completely different, even the opposite.
Populism and nationalism have been in power for 10 years. For 10 years the state has been moving inertially in the field of economy, without clear goals, without criteria and priorities.
Every year the stay of the government costs the citizens BGN 2 billion. and 50,000 emigrants. There is no trust among the people despite “your successes”, commented in turn Burhan Abazov from MRF.
